Asmodeus raked a hand through his hair. "Well, the Patron of Lust successor also would show some signs of the family traits early on. I don't think my nephew's noticed yet. And even if he did...nothing would happen. He's not like you--he doesn't hate my guts."
The pink-haired demon yawned leisurely and looked around. "Plans can wait. Up for some hunting?" he considered luring one of the girls from a group of friends out into the parking lot, but he didn't want to start a catfight. It was amusing, really. The only species that could actually be persuaded to jostle into a line to be killed.

"No thank you. I prefer souls of the more... immortal variety," Angel said. Like her grandfather, she killed supernaturals. Only, she prefered a slighty different kind than him. ((Yes, immortal beings do have souls ))

"Hm?" Asmodeus was confused. "You survive on something other than human souls? I have never heard of that being possible before."
Come to think of it, that group smelled good enough to start a catfight over. Asmodeus tried hard not to drool. He'd been trying to cut back on how often he fed, even though Vanessa had assured him that she wasn't going to judge him for it.
"Nyeh," Asmodeus shook his head to clear up his thoughts. If anyone else found out he, the Patron of Lust, had a human girlfriend...well, he really didn't want to imagine their laughs.

"Well, my grandfather enjoys the souls of fairies. I myself prefer elves, but demons are equally delicious," Angel said. Probably not the best thing to tell another demon, but if they were going to work together, she saw no reason to keep it from him.
"Excuse me?" Angel asked rather irratatedly to the last thing he said.

"Nothing, nothing, just...I suppose we'd best get on with the plotting," Asmodeus shook his head again, and then grinned. The remark about eating other demons' souls didn't really bother him that much, so long as it wasn't him or his nephew. And that also meant Vanessa was probably safe from the soon-to-be Wrath. Still...It would not do for anyone to find out about that. Demon or otherwise. I have to be careful with what I say or do now.

"I guess we should," Angel said. Now what they could do. Fairies probably wouldn't listen to them. If only they could find a young, naive one...

((do you have a young, naive one in mind which may or may not be named Vill?))
"Do you like coffee in any way?" Asmodeus asked. "I'm aware that it does nothing by way of actual hunger-feeding, but it's a normal activity humans partake in that isn't suspicious. If we hang around the mall like this much longer without going into any stores, we might get weird looks."

((Maybe...))
"Sure, coffee sounds fine," Angel said, "I don't want to look out of place." She always felt weird when the humans looked at her funny. The looks she got from being with Asmodeus were already awkward enough.

Asmodeus nodded, also aware that the surrounding humans were shooting not-exactly-inconspicuous looks over their shoulders at the two of them. "There's a Starbucks somewhere around this fiendish place..." He stared blankly at a mall directory, wondering why they couldn't display a normal depiction of the mall for once.

Angel looked at the mall directory for a second before placing the Starbucks. She was really good with the newer human inventions because she was so young herself. "It's over this way," she said, grabbing Asmodeus' hand. She dragged him in the direction of the store.

Asmodeus nodded sagely, though he didn't understand how she'd found it that fast. The fact that he couldn't figure out several modern devices was a weakness of his. That and Vanessa, he mentally added. But I am so not telling another demon about that.

She got to the Starbucks and opened the door. Angel walked up to the counter. She was opened her mouth to open her mouth to order, but she couldn't decide. There were so many to choose from. She new she shouldn't have caffeine... "Can I have a hot chocolate?" she asked in her politest voice.

"Cappuccino," Asmodeus flashed a smile at the clerk, a young girl with brown hair that wanted to defy gravity.
"G-got it," the clerk stammered, blushing a shade similar to Asmodeus' hair.

Angel waited impatiently for the hot chocolate. When the clerk put it on the counter, Angel looked at Asmodeus. She was trying ot make it obvious that he had to pay or charm the clerk or whatever he did. She had little money of her own, and she was going to save it for emergencies.

Asmodeus winked cheerfully at Angel and slid some money onto the counter. "I'll be paying for hers, too," he told the clerk, whose blush promptly died and slid off of her face.
"Very well," she said frostily, ringing up the order with more force than necessary. Asmodeus mentally chuckled to himself at the clerk's obvious display of jealousy. He considered adding a "Go pick out a seat, dear," but decided that would be a bit much.
