HEllo, A different question here from those thread asking what was good or bad for the roman rulers (empire), here turned on its head: How was the roman empire for its inhabitants? Being from Gaul, Spain or Syria immediately before romans took over, compared to the age after roman conquest. And Late rtoman preovinses, compared to period shortly after they departed from empire. Is there much evidense at all, when it comes to the general population? Please help. Thanks! I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
